13. Service Disclaimers & Client Responsibilities
Alcohol Laws: Client is solely responsible for securing all necessary permits or insurance if required for alcohol service at their venue. Sip Tide and its staff operate in accordance with California ABC laws but are not liable for violations outside our control.
Guest Behavior: Client assumes responsibility for the behavior of all guests and attendees during the event. Sip Tide staff may refuse service to any individual who appears intoxicated, underage, or behaves inappropriately.
Post-Event Liability: Sip Tide is not responsible for the conduct, safety, or sobriety of guests after the event ends or after they leave the event premises.
Third-Party Vendors: If the client chooses to use outside bartenders, alcohol suppliers, or other vendors, Sip Tide assumes no responsibility or liability for their performance, conduct, or compliance with laws.
Permits & Venue Rules: It is the client’s duty to ensure their event venue permits mobile bar services and that all local regulations are followed. Sip Tide is not responsible for event disruptions due to venue restrictions.
Weather & Outdoor Conditions: While we do our best to operate in various conditions, Sip Tide is not liable for weather-related interruptions or hazards. Alternative plans should be arranged by the client in case of inclement weather.
14. Photo & Media Release
By hiring Sip Tide, the client agrees that Sip Tide may capture photographs or video during the event for documentation or promotional purposes. These images may be used on our website, social media platforms, printed materials, or advertising campaigns.
Sip Tide will avoid publishing any images that could be considered offensive or that reveal sensitive client information. If the client wishes to opt out of this release, they must notify us in writing prior to the event at hello@siptide.com.
15. Force Majeure
Sip Tide shall not be held liable for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations under these Terms if such delay or failure arises from any cause beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government orders or restrictions, venue cancellations, strikes, transportation delays, or utility outages. In such cases, Sip Tide will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the services or apply payments toward a future event date.
16. Damage or Loss Liability
The client assumes full responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage to Sip Tide’s mobile bar, equipment, decor, and accessories during the rental period. If any items are damaged due to misuse, neglect, or failure to follow instructions, the client agrees to reimburse Sip Tide for repair or replacement costs. A post-event inspection may be conducted to assess any damage.
17. Client-Provided Alcohol (Dry Hire Policy)
Sip Tide operates strictly as a Dry Hire mobile bar service. This means we do not sell, serve, or supply alcohol. All alcohol must be purchased and provided by the client for their event.
The client is solely responsible for:
Securing, purchasing, transporting, and storing all alcoholic beverages
Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local alcohol laws and regulations
Confirming that the event venue permits outside alcohol and that any required permits or insurance are obtained
Sip Tide assumes no responsibility or liability for the type, quantity, safety, or legality of alcohol provided by the client. If licensed bartenders are included in your package, they will serve alcohol supplied by the client only and in accordance with applicable law.
18. Age Restriction and ID Verification
Alcohol will only be served to guests who are 21 years of age or older, as required by California law. If bartenders are part of your service package, they reserve the right to:
Request valid, government-issued identification from any guest
Refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated, underage, or disruptive
The client agrees to support and uphold all decisions made by bartenders in the interest of legal compliance and guest safety. The client remains liable for any consequences resulting from underage consumption or over-service.
